June is a wonderful month to walk and wild camp on Dartmoor, this weekend will be the Summer Solstice the longest day of the year and a very special occasion to be out on Dartmoor in the long bright lingering evenings.

In June It is also beautiful to finally see the hills fully green and to walk amongst the now tall enough grass to hear it whisper and hiss with the wind.  The stunning wildflower: Foxgloves bloom dotted along rivers and congregate in great numbers in the Pine forest, which simply smells amazing on sunny days.  And of course the weather has sufficiently warmed, and now the wild swimming is not just for the determined or hardy ones amongst us.
