Early spring on Dartmoor is truly magical. Here’s why I love spending time on the moor in April:
The golden Gorse flowers begin to bloom in vibrant clusters across the caramel hills, their sweet coconut scent lingers on warm sunny days. The sight of tiny foals and lambs is irresistibly heartwarming, and they never fail to bring a smile to our faces during walks — sometimes, we’re even lucky enough to have them visit us at camp. The enchanting sound of the cuckoo’s call fills the air, and it’s the perfect time to shake off the winter slump and embrace the fresh energy of the season with a good walk. And nothing beats waking up to the crisp morning air, watching the sun rise, while sipping a hot drink with a heart full of gratitude.
